Many are turning to Botox® to reduce moderate to severe frown lines between their brows, forehead wrinkles and crow's feet. This safe and effective medication is placed into your wrinkles using a tiny needle. It is used to eliminate facial wrinkles and frown lines by decreasing the movement of the muscles in these trouble areas. Botox® can brighten up your attitude and outlook by reducing the wrinkles of time or making small improvements in an otherwise perfect face.

Botox®, a specially formulated, purified protein, relaxes the muscles when injected in the targeted area, ultimately reducing the appearance of frown lines and facial wrinkles. It is a minimally invasive procedure, allowing patients to return to normal daily activities immediately following the procedure. A topical anesthesia can be used, if necessary.

FDA approved, Botox® is a safe and effective procedure that provides patients with results that can last an average of 3 to 5 months.

Dermal Fillers

Smoothing facial folds and wrinkles and revolumizing the face can make an enormous difference in a person’s appearance and make them look several years younger. Dermal fillers can help reverse the signs of aging and provide patients with a natural, youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are used to:

  • Reduce or eliminate wrinkles
  • Reduce the appearance of scars
  • Enhance lips
  • Enhance the contours of the face

There are a number of dermal fillers available today, including:

  • Hyaluronic acid based fillers (i.e. Restylane®, Perlane® and Juvederm™)
  • Calcium hydroxyl apatite fillers (i.e. Radiesse®)
  • Poly-L lactic acid fillers (i.e. Sculptra®)

Your doctor will work with you individually to determine the best filler for your individual circumstances. Topical anesthetic cream or local anesthetic will be used to numb the targeted area. Then, using a small needle, the dermal filler will carefully be injected into each area being treated.

Side effects are uncommon, but can include: bruising, redness and swelling among others. Duration of results vary depending on the type of filler injected, but can last from three months to five years.

IPL Photorejuvenation

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Rejuvenation is one of the most effective cosmetic dermatology treatments available, and can treat a wide variety of conditions, including age spots, freckles, rosacea, veins, acne scars and a host of other blemishes or pigmentation problems. With IPL, the collagen-producing layers of skin are stimulated, helping the skin tighten and firm. At the same time, many red or brown blemishes are repaired on the surface, minimizing or eliminating the look of blemishes or spots. IPL is an FDA-approved treatment with amazing results and no downtime. Most IPL sessions only take around 20 to 30 minutes once every few weeks, and the best results can be obtained through a multiple sessions.

Hair Removal

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal is now considered the most effective method of hair removal. With light treatment, the procedure is safe, the re-growth is lighter and finer and it is quicker than conventional methods. Clients who are have dark hair and light skin have the best results.

Light-based hair removal treatment incorporates an invisible beam of light and heat that penetrates the hair follicle and destroys it, but preserves the surrounding skin.  This treatment is precise and is recommended for removing hair from large areas.  However, this process can also be irritating to the skin, which must be cooled with a gel or spray during the treatment.  This cooling prevents the pulses of light from causing harm and discomfort to your skin.

Some clients have said light-based hair removal feels like a rubber band popping or snapping against your skin, and there might be an odor of singed hair. After treatment, you may have some redness or a little swelling. Depending on area of hair you are having removed, the procedure may take a few minutes to an hour.

With IPL hair removal, there is no downtime – you can return to work immediately. After treatment, you should avoid direct sunlight and tanning booths, and do not wax, pluck, rub or scrub the treated areas. To clean, gently wash with soap and water.

IPL hair removal is not a one-time procedure – it generally takes three to five treatments to see about an 80% hair reduction in the area treated.

Microdermabrasion is especially for those with less than perfect skin. People with skin that has been damaged by the sun, age spots, acne or has a rough texture may benefit from microdermabrasion. The treatment removes the uppermost layer of skin and removes dead skin cells to reveal a healthier appearance. The exfoliation helps to revitalize the skin and encourage blood flow. We will consult with you on the treatment plan we feel will achieve your desired results. Ask us about our microdermabrasion system if you’re interested in improving the overall appearance of your skin.

Microdermabrasion gently exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Patients may experience a slight warming sensation as the microdermabrasion crystals exfoliate the skin. The length and number of treatments solely depends on each individual’s condition.

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that offers no downtime following treatment. As the new layer of skins appears it will be more sensitive and requires more protection from the sun. Use moisturizing creams to keep your skin hydrated and to help prevent any possible irritation.
